What is BiRO+™?
BiRO+ transforms challenging groundwater into clean drinking water using a cost-effective 3-stage process: biological filtration, membrane purification and re-mineralization. This process has lower operating costs and less waste than other water purification systems.
Designed for municipalities, utilities, private developers and remote facilities, BiRO+ removes iron, manganese, arsenic, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide and more.
BiRO+ is modular, for plug-and-perform installation across a range of nuanced sites.

Our Process
Three-step process

Biological filtration
Water flows through our high-performance ceramic media colonized by natural bacteria that metabolize contaminants. This is the foundation of BiRO+’s efficiency. By removing the majority of contaminants – like iron, manganese, arsenic, ammonia and hydrogen sulfide – before the membrane stage, biological filtration extends downstream membrane life for less waste, and reduced operating costs.

RO can create slightly acidic water, making it corrosive and not ideal for distribution or taste. This final step restores pH balance and mineral content, protecting infrastructure and enhancing water quality. By fine-tuning only what’s needed, this phase avoids unnecessary chemical dosing, contributing to operational efficiency and regulatory compliance without added waste.
